I have always been involved in different aspects of education throughout my career knowing that a good education can transform a child and their family’s life for the future. I worked as a Primary school teacher and, after raising my family, began my career path involving different qualifications and useful experiences. I was a Headteacher in Warrington for fifteen years and in this time I also supported other schools with their development and improvement programmes. I then worked for the National College of School Leaders and in 2011 completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with Manchester University. I am now involved in Community Education programmes with Trafford College, focusing on classes in improving Confidence, Assertiveness and Life Skills particularly for women. I am honoured to be invited to join the Governors at Cheetham C of E Community Academy and appreciate the opportunity to make a contribution to this successful school.
